Vega

Copenhagen has a lot of music venues and the music scene is growing these days. The best and most popular venue is Vega. A beautiful building located on Vesterbro. Built in 1956 and designed by the architect Vilhelm Lauritzen. It’s has two different concert halls and both of them are basically filled every night. The interior is very Art Deco and takes you back to the fifties.

Arrebro

If you’re into good coffee and small coffee shops, Copenhagen is the right destination. They are all over the place and new ones are popping up all the time. My favorite, at the moment, is Arrebro. Located on Den Sorte Plads. During the day they serve good coffee, simple breakfast and lunch. Then wine and beer during the afternoon and evening. Laptops are not welcome and that makes the vibe very social and pretty different from most cafés.

Den Sorte Plads

Within the past 4-5 years it has become one of the most popular hang-out-spots in the city. Super Instagramable with it’s cool white lines and the big hill in the middle. You can basically do anything here: work out, hang out, barbecue, drink coffee while sitting on one of the many benches. While there, you could also check out the many unique “art pieces” that has been installed.

Søerne

When looking at a map of Copenhagen, it’s impossible not to notice The Lakes. Or “søerne” as they’re called in Danish. There are six of them and they run through 4 different neighborhoods. You won’t find one single hill around any of the lakes making them the most popular running-route in the city. Running all the lakes will be around 7 km.
