Work Out

„Hamburg – my pearl“ as the locals say… Anyone who perceives Hamburg as a cold and classic city should have a look at our hot spots.

A Mecca for runners (key word: Außenalster), Hamburg is colourful, relaxed and most certainly the opposite of boring. Culture fans feel just as at home here as nature lovers, runners, photographers and musicians.

Schanzenviertel, the Elbe Philharmonic Concert Hall, Speicherstadt (warehouse district), Jungfernstieg… The list of the must-sees is long.

Check out the most important hot spots and be inspired by the insights of the Saucony City Guide!

„Running? Stretching? Working out? Nothing fits better than the harbour for this. Pick any place from Landungsbrücken down to Blankenese to do your exercises and run along the beautiful Hamburg harbour front.”

„Morning, noon or dusk – from the small Alster Canals in Harvestehude to the Outer Alster. With a view like this, running is even more fun! The Hotspot for every athlete. Windsurfing, stand up paddling or rowing… almost everything!”

„My favourite time to work out is at sunrise or at sunset – like a dream!"

St. Pauli

„I’m showing you one of my favorite running tracks. The tour goes along the St. Pauli Reeperbahn through the Alter Elbpark, up the stairs to the venerable Bismarck memorial. Along the little path ‘Bei der Erholung’ you can enjoy the view of the Elbe until it goes back to St. Pauli via the Davidstraße with the famous Davidwache police station.

This run also takes you to many sights worth seeing of the beautiful Hanseatic City of Hamburg!”

„This route, with its grass, gravel path, a steep incline and many stairs, gives a lot of variety!"

City Center

„Strolling around. GOOD MORNING + HAPPY DAY! We are already out and about in Hamburg’s city center and have lots of things on our TODO-list.”
