Hang Out
Hamburg
„Hamburg – my pearl“ as the locals say… Anyone who perceives Hamburg as a cold and classic city should have a look at our hot spots.
A Mecca for runners (key word: Außenalster), Hamburg is colourful, relaxed and most certainly the opposite of boring. Culture fans feel just as at home here as nature lovers, runners, photographers and musicians.
Schanzenviertel, the Elbe Philharmonic Concert Hall, Speicherstadt (warehouse district), Jungfernstieg… The list of the must-sees is long.
Check out the most important hot spots and be inspired by the insights of the Saucony City Guide!

„One of my favorite places to hang out in Hamburg is actually on a regular harbour ferry which starts at Landungsbrücken and goes all the way to Finkenwerder and passes most of Hamburgs harbour front. Just sit on deck, take a fresh breeze and enjoy the incredible view.”

“Another favorite hang out spot of mine is the beach of the Elbe river. The beach starts near the museums harbor in Ovelgönne and goes all the way up till Teufelsbrück.”

Alster

„As a native of Hamburg, there is no better place for me than the Alster. Apart from my own home I don’t spend anymore time anywhere else than at the Alster. Surrounded by many cafes, restaurants & boat rentals you always find a different place to relax. There are even some barbecue spots!”

„Here is a tip for you if you are in the city and feel like shopping. At Haddoc Shop Beim Grünen Jäger 7 between St. Pauli and the Schanzenviertel you will find selected sneakers, streetwear and accessories. And among other things a large choice of Saucony sneakers. It is, in a way, a small art gallery at the same time, with street art of local artists such as of the sprayer FROST, known from the 187 Straßenbande. Swing by!”

Park Fiction

„One of my favourite hangout spots in Hamburg, the Park Fiction in St. Pauli. Right next to the Elbe but still far away from the usual tourism. The often sung about ‘Palmen aus Plastik’ will lead you the way to this in 2003 artificially constructed park. With streetball court, dog meadows and plenty of space to just hang around and relax on the flying carpet (a wavelike turf). In the local neighbourhood you can find the historic Hafenstraße, as well as the newly established Golden Pudel club and the brilliant Salt & Silver restaurant. If you are in the area, stop by!”
